Arrest Notification: Edwin Njoku, M.D. d.o.b. 11/18/59
On April 28, 2012 Edwin Njoku, M.D. d.o.b. 11/18/59 of 589 Burnside Ave., East Hartford was arrested by the East Hartford Police Department and Inspector of the Chief States Attorney's Office, Division of Criminal Justice, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Njoku was arrested on four separate arrest warrants and are as follows:
1. Criminal Attempt to Commit Sexual Assault in the First Degree (53a-49)53a-70. $250,000.00 court set bond.
2. Sexual Assault, Fourth Degree 53a-73a. $100,000.00 court set bond.
3. Sexual Assault, Fourth Degree 53a-73a. $100,000.00 court set bond.
4. Larceny Second Degree by Defrauding a Public Community 53a-123. $5,000.00 non-surety bond. (C.S.A.O., Medicaid Fraud Unit Arrest Warrant)
Court date appearance is scheduled for May 16, 2012 at Superior Court GA-12, 410 Center Street, Manchester, CT
The sexual assault arrest warrants involve three separate victims and investigations that occurred at the Christus Medical Group located at 589 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT. over the past year.
