18th Annual Skyhoundz Canine Disc Championships

Dogs will be taking to the skies… the premier athletic competition for dogs! The competition will attract the most entertaining fourlegged athletes in the area.
Families are invited to enjoy this unique event and applaud these talented canine athlete entertainers. For more information about entering the local competition, contact the Parks & Rec Dept.

Open to all veteran and novice dogs that can catch a flying disc. Registration is on site and it is not necessary to have competed previously. Free to everyone.
25th Annual Memorial Mile
Monday, May 28th
Parks & Rec and Board of Ed. Physical Education presents the 25th Memorial Mile preceding the Memorial Day parade. The 1 mile race starts on Scotland Road and finishes just west of Hillside St on Burnside Ave. Awards presented for men & women, 9 & under, 10-11, 12-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90 & up. T-shirts issued to all preregistrants as of May 11 and on race day if available.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series
Thursdays, 6:00 PM on the Town Green, 1047 Main Street
Bring your own blanket or lawn chair and enjoy music ranging from jazz, to big band, to rock and roll. In the event of inclement weather, concerts held in Community Cultural Center, 50 Chapman Place.

Held at Goodwin School, this course is certified by USA Track & Field and is flat and fast. Nine age-groups for men and women will be featured.

25th Annual H.S. Alumni Cross Country Challenge
Thursday, August 11
Open to all high school alumni. Race features 3 person team competition between high school alumni & current students representing their schools. Activity # 54011-1, begins at 6:30 PM, Fee $15.00 for pre-registrations Meets: Veteran’s Memorial Clubhouse, 100 Sunset Ridge Dr. Includes T-shirt & refreshments (T-shirt deadline is August 2nd). After Aug.1 through race date, fee is $20.00 without a guaranteed T-shirt.
